Going into my 4th decade as a financial advisor, I remain steadfast in guiding clients through an education of investment strategies that help them meet their financial goals.  I am committed to assisting investors achieve their unique vision of the American Dream.

My comprehensive approach to wealth management includes planning for the acquisition and disposition of real property.  So, I have become proficient in the real estate industry.  Having been first licensed in real estate in the late 1970’s, I have purchased (and sold) several commercial properties, so I understand the needs of many property owners.

In 1989, after earning the Certified Financial Planner (SM) designation or CFP® from The College of Financial Planning, I began to implement estate planning strategies for my clients with regard to their real estate holdings.

My professional associations include:

  • Williamson County Board of Realtors (Affiliate)
  • Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association
  • Society of Financial Service Professionals
  • Financial Planning Association
  • International Association of Registered Financial Consultants

My community involvement includes my church, the Taylor Family YMCA and the YMCA of Greater Williamson County (Board Member), Rotary Club of Taylor (Past President) and the Property Exchange of Williamson County.

My wife, Melissa, and our three beautiful daughters; Annie, Kathryn and Laura (and their respective husbands) keep me busy when I’m not working.  Of course, 6 grandchildren (with more to come) make every birthday and holiday more joyous with each passing year.

For over forty years I’ve built successful client relationships with individual investors, business owners who were clients of the major wall street investment firm that I was member of, as well as landowners in my role as an independent contractor with three major independent oil companies.

Whether I was guiding a family through specific details of an investment vehicle or being the public facing side of an oil and gas company who interacts and negotiates directly with landowners, putting the customer’s needs first, was, and is, paramount to me and that starts with masterfully building a strong business relationship.

Through empathy, active listening, and thoughtful counsel, I have helped landowners and the pipeline companies that I represent in the area of eminent domain and easement acquisition, reach workable solutions that leave all parties satisfied.

I am a 1981 graduate of Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business where I was honored as a Deans Academic Honor list student and received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in finance. My post graduate work was done at Dallas Baptist University.

I had the honor of serving a group of teenagers and their families as a bi-vocational youth minister for over ten years at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship. I also served as a deacon on the first deacon board assembled at NDCBF. My role as a deacon was to lead a group of my families in my geographic area in a mini church so that we could be assured that all needs were being met in a rapidly growing church.

I currently hold a license as an easement and right of way specialist through the Texas Real Estate Commission as well as the series 22 Direct Participation Programs license through FINRA.  I look forward to educating our clients on our 1033 exchange programs.

My wife Carita and I have settled in the beautiful Texas hill country, and after a lifetime of serving others and volunteering in our communities we are completely devoted to the lives of our five children and three grandchildren.

When you can’t find me on the golf course, you can most assuredly find me at a Baylor sporting event.
